I don't remember that from the movie, and haven't read the book yet, but... I believe that quote probably comes from "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". Butch and Sundance are trying to escape the wrath of , the president of the railroad they keep robbing. They try for days to shake the posse that's following them, and at one point Butch utters the line you mentioned. This is shortly before they take the jump into the river. ("I can't swim!"
