I haven't written on the net in quite a long time, but
I am an avid reader.

Regarding, why women date jerks?
Well, I've got personal experience and possibly an added insight.
I am presently dating the MOST wonderful man and you might
say it just happened when I was desperately looking for an
SO.  He is not exactly what I would have normally been looking
for because I work with him and he is NICE and a GENTLEman.
What I'm trying to say is that I didn't KNOW what nice
and gentlemen were until him, only jerks.  I had had tastes
of what one was like from varies other relationships but
I really didn't know.

So think about it, do you know what it's like to be treated well?
If you haven't had it how do you know.  

Now I know ... and now I will not settle for anything less!
