First, Greg Woods has conveniently removed his article so that I no longer
have any references to exactly what got me a might peaved off.
  
Second, Trish's article has long since expired, so its very difficult to
judge exactly what her original meaning and context was. I do remember
thinking how keen and accurate her opinions were. Following that though I
saw a number of articles with partial quotes which were then torn apart.
I did not think Trish was getting a fair shake, so I ripped into one of them
myself giving it about as much mercy as it in turn showed. I know I overdid
it. But I felt it was no different than what many others have done.
  
Third, I figured if I was going to reply at all, I might as well go all out.
Why waste everyone's time with minor gripes. I got the impression people
were looking for controversy. At least they were trying very hard to create
it. I gave it to them. At least it gets the point across because it leaves
an impression.
  
Fourth, I don't think Trish hates men in general or is angry with them.
Neither do I for that matter. I don't know where people got this idea. I
made that clear in the article. At least I thought I did. I based my comments
with respect to that opinion. If I am wrong and Trish does bear malicious
feelings toward men, I will retract my statements. On the other hand if she
doesn't, I think a good number of people have done her wrong. This appears
to be the key issue at stake here. Perhaps we should ask for clarification.
Find out if Trish only has a low opinion of many men or if she hates them
all with a vengeance.
 
Fifth, I never referred to "ALL" men in my article. I consistantly used the 
term "MANY". At least I hope so because otherwise I deserve a lot of flames.
And I never said anything about men being terrible and calling them assholes.
Once again we have partial quotes with the writer making inferences to suit
their comments. My reason for flaming in the first place.
  
Sixth, a good majority of men have two sides to themselves. The one I see in
unmixed company and the one you as a female(and I) see in mixed company. I can
make accurate comparisons. You can't. And my opinion is that many men
show a great lack of consideration towards women. This I felt was the 
opinion Trish was trying to express. Her ratios might need some work but  
she was trying to make a point. And if you disagree, your entitled. But I
also think you're just fooling yourself. But you're entitled to do that also.
Just as Trish is entitled to avoid the entire situation. And I'm entitled to
my opinions. Where did some selected people get the right to not allow us
our thoughts and to tell us what the proper and correct way of thinking is?
