as usual, gene, you got your keyboard into everything and still made lots of
sense (at least to me).  in the middle of all the junk floating around
here (no real cuts intended), it is nice to hear someone sounding really
coherent in more than just a *portion* of their article.

as for this whole 'trish' deal, you guys have waltzed around each so
many times, that you can't even tell where you started from (or so it
seems to me).  everytime someone has made a reply to something dealing
with trish, one or more people have flamed it to pieces based on
semantics and implications.  and then it happens over and over again!
why don't you give yourselves a break and give it a rest.  the main
contributors to this argument are no longer covering new ground and
are furthermore no longer making much sense.  why don't you try (magic word:)
communicating instead of accusing?  (gee, what a novel idea.  see what
you started, trish?)

anyway, more comments will have to wait 'till later.  have fun all.
