I haven't read all of the info regarding this but if someone likes women because they have found the men insensitve or whatever, this sounds like generalizing, which is racism and sexism's next door neighbor. To say you prefer your own sex is perfectly alright but to establish that choice as a result of contempt for the opposite sex is sad. I consider myself more sensitive than the average TV Guide reader. Being a male in a Marlboro world imposes a preconceived set of standards on me. I get along well with most people because I have an open mind. Sometimes gay people think I am gay which is neither here nor there. However, I have lost many gay friends because sooner or later they discover I am not and feel they can no longer "deal" with me. This pisses me off. Gays are persecuted due to the same reasons blacks or any other non-WASP are; ignorance and fear. I sypmathize with this being hispanic. Racism and sexism rear their ugly heads on both sides of the fence. Sorry, Trish, no pity here. P.S. I'm not perfect and I expect to be greeted with a flood of remarks like " Are you saying all TV Guide readers are stupid?" All I can say is, come at me.
