This reminds me of an old Zen saying I aply to my acting craft.  A disciple
goes to a Zen master and says, "Master, how long will it take me to learn
the ways of Zen."  And the master replies, "Ten years."  The student says,
"Master, you don't understand.  I will sleep and eat and breath Zen."  So
the master looks at the student seriously and says, "In that case, it will
take 20 years."

Give your growth a chance and quit trying to have the wisdom of a 50 year
old until you have the experience under you belt to support it.
