Lines: 14 It would seem to me that what all of these "therapies" attempt to do has its basis in behavioral conditioning. After all, you learned "wrong" behaviors (and thought patterns, which are behaviors as well) through the same process over an extended period of time (called "your life"). What they attempt to do is to perform a RE-conditioning of "right"-thinking (for you, hopefully) behavior patterns. The shorter timespan requires more drastic techniques. The behaviors you already know took a long period of time to reinforce. These people only have a few hours of your time to undo them and to reinforce new ones. The question is: do they really know what they're doing? Do they have the smarts such that they know what kind of effect such conditioning practices will have on an individual?
