I've heard people use this as reasons for seeing someone who others (and
possibly they) consider to be jerks -- here are some of the excuses they
give:

But I love {him,her}!
{She,he} just needs to grow up a little and settle down.
{She,he} will change.
{She,he} may be treating me bad, but {she,he} makes me feel sooo good ...
