As a matter of fact, I had female partners for two undergraduate computer projects and I never considered them as potential dates or anything. We managed to keep our interactions strictly business. I don't even recall inquiring about my partners' SO's or anything, and at neither time did I have an SO of my own (still don't, as a matter of fact). I can't speak for anyone else who worked at that undergraduate computer facility, but I don't recall any romances springing up between the staff and consultants (that's what I was) and the users of the computer facility. Well, on the other hand, there was ONE, but I don't think either he or she used their relative positions to manipulate themselves into the relationship. -- Those who know me have no need for my name.
