It would be interesting (though unfortunately not very rewarding) if Clevenger could counter-complain against D'Alessandro - that he's simply "too handsome" to work on a street corner, blah, blah... (Of course, maybe he's not all that handsome - but that's hardly the point anyway!) On the one hand, it would be sort of stooping to the same techniques as her opponent, who would seem from the story not to be a particularly savory character.
