Correction, democracy IS majority rule. Contrary to popular belief the 
government that we have in this country is NOT a democracy. It's a
democratic republic. The difference is that a republic diminishes the
effects of majority oppression. Read The Federalist Papers #10 or reply to
me via mail. The subject belongs in net.politics.
