Therefore, we will have THE PARTY of the century on July 28, 1984 in beautiful downtown Bend on the banks of the lovely Deschutes River. As mentioned before, there is plenty of wildlife to chase if that's what turns on ya. There is also a huge park down river a couple blocks. Downtown core is only 10 blocks away. If you want to go boating and have a canoe or raft, you can launch into the river from my backyard. Fishing, frisbee, etc., also. Please bring your own bottle and a dish to share (food, you perverts!). WHO IS INVITED? All of you. If you are single or married (but act like a single person), male or female, heterosexual, homo- sexual, asexual, bisexual, black, white, red, yellow or purple, short, tall, skinny, fat, ugly or beautiful (real subjective, huh?). WHERE: 107 NW Riverfront Street, Bend, OR 97701 Call (503) 382-5954 for help WHEN: Saturday, July 28, 1984 from appx. 3:00 pm until the last creature ceases to exhibit any signs of voluntary movement. HOW TO GET THERE: Directions are given from Portland, OR. Those of you coming from the south (CA) or east (any where beyond the Snake River), it is assumed you'll probably end up in Portland first anyway. From Portland, follow Hwy.26 east and over Mt. Hood and stay on that sucker to Madras. The road becomes Hwy.97 at that point, so continue south on 97. This will take you through Redmond to Bend. As you enter Bend from the north, the road splits with the right lane declaring DOWNTOWN and the left telling you it goes to KLAMATH FALLS. Stay in the left lane (for simplicity's sake). About a mile or so, you'll see a SAFEWAY store on your left. You should be in the RIGHT lane at this point. TURN RIGHT. This is Franklin Street. Stay on this street as it takes you through downtown, and winds around DRAKE PARK (where our ducks and geese and swans come from). This road has now become Riverside Street. You will come to a STOP sign with a small sign below declaring RIGHT TURN PERMITTED WITHOUT STOPPING. Turn right. Immediately turn LEFT before crossing the river. This will put you on Riverfront Street. It is only five blocks long and dead-ends at my house, a large white wood structure on the right side with crazy single people running around trying to duct tape ducks to frisbees. This is gonna be one hellacious fun gathering, so y'all come and we'll have a ball (or something like that).
