Since I don't make a great deal of fuss over the act, most people merely thank me, unless they are older men, in which case comment on how the world has changed...for the better, I would think! There's nothing like a little courtesy. On the other hand, when I am the passenger, I do not expect such cavalier treatment unless it is a very good friend of mine, who knows my ways, and how much I appreciate little courtesies.
