I really think that it's quite sufficient to determine who opens a door and who walks through first based on who's walking ahead, or is in a hurry, or is carrying something, etc. (I always find it a little silly when the person ahead of me on the stairs goes through the door and holds it open for me so that I have to edge around the opened door to start up the next flight.:-) But all this has precious little to do with real sex roles, pedestalization (forgive me, grammarians; it's not my pseudo-word), and the like. You may find it symbolic IF you choose to do so. -- Dick Dunn {hao, ucbvax, allegra}!nbires!rcd (303)444-5710 x3086 ...A friend of the devil is a friend of mine.
