Well, if I proposed that we poll 100,000 women reading, say Cosmopolitan, or Ms., would you believe the answers I would get? There is a little something called DEMOGRAPHICS, which may have a lot more to do with the results of a survey than one would think. Ergo (just been to philosophy class), I propose the *ULTIMATE QUESTIONNAIRE* 1. Find person to conduct questionnaire. There is a lot more to putting together a reasonable questionnaire than you think; therefore, we should acquire the services of a psychologist or a statistician who is well versed in these methods. (*note- I am available for such undertakings at a reasonable fee) 2. Get a data base. I suggest we use the 1980 census. Then, after randomising the list, we pick 500,000 (in a statistically random manner) women to ask. The reason I say to pick 500,000, is that 20% is a reasonable return for a questionnaire of this type. 3. Construct questionnaire. Get some more statisticians, and psychologists. 4. Send it out! Wait about 5-6 months for returns. Cull out bogus responses. (by this I don't mean answers you don't agree with, although I am sure this sort of thing is done constantly. Some people just haven't figured out how to respond to a questionnaire properly.) 5. Subject answers to all sorts of statistical tests. Find a masochist who *likes* to work with SPSS. 6. Publish the results! Now, wasn't that easy? If we do something like this, we could find out how/what women feel about sex...It should only take a year, or two... Laurie pucc-k:afo
