Any resemblance between these descriptions and reality is merely a fig newton of your imagination *) The second scenario involves a man who decides that he wants a child which is his biologically as well as legally and is not involved in an ongoing relationship with a woman. The logistics become a bit more complicated. For the women: would you be willing to be a surrogate mother for a close male friend who asked this of you? To clarify, I'm assuming that the econo- mics of the situation would be that a legal agreement exists such that the male would pay any medical expenses not covered by insurance as well as remuneration for time lost from work. In return, the woman would relinquish any legal right/responsibilities for the child. But I'm not thinking about remuneration for just going through the pregnancy. For the men: do you see alternative answers to this problem? Moira Mallison tektronix!moiram
