Tigers will probably win the Series though... >The western division of the NL is the strongest by far. And it >doesn't matter who wins in the AL, they are just the junior >circuit (look who has the DH--what a joke). >PS. This is a biased opinion. The NL East, by far, is the strongest division. I saw it in numbers a while ago. The NL East has won more games vs. the West than they did for the same time last year! Besides, look at the Braves (four games in last last week that the opposing team scored more than 10 runs). The D*dg*er (they should still change their name) can only beat the Braves. Forget Cincy and SF; both are going nowhere. Houston can't do anything and SD, for the team they bought, are not getting their money's worth! NL East will be a fight between the Mets, Phillies, and Cubs until the Cubs fall apart in August (the heat, during the day, in Chicago will do them in). The Mets will win the East! (Biased opinion) As far as the Tigers: When the Cleveland Indians won 113 games in 1950 (still the record), they lost the series (to St. Louis, I think). Remember, the Junior League does not play the same brand of baseball (Flame to the DH rule). Beginning tomorrow (6/28/84) the Braves are going to be in New York to get the sh*t kicked out of them by the Mets!!!! Eventhough I'll have to watch it on WTBS (the Braves station), I'll love to listen to Ernie Johnson and Skip Carry (son of Chicago's Harry Carry) cry over more 10-? loses! Flame me all you want! I won't read them until Monday (after the Mets take 3 of 4). Game 1 will feature Beryni (sp) vs. McMurtry - no contest. (I better stop ranting before I find someone with a flame thrower at my front door!! :-}) Still hating the Braves in Athens, Ga.: -- Scott A.
