I remember reading in some sports publication (probably The Sporting News) that there are only 2 ballplayers left from the team that last made the series ... I'm thinking Winfield and Guidry, but please correct me if I'm wrong... Anyway, I don't think you can win a pennant when you present a different collection of players every year...seems to me that King George is trying to get instant success while other teams are trying to build on what they have while making key acquisitions along the way. Anyway, I wasn't one of those who cried when Kniekro (sp?)(see, I can't even remember how to spell his name!! :-) ) left, and I'm glad he's doing good. But I think the media here in Atlanta are getting a little carried away. They are bringing and printing stories about him EVERYTIME he pitches, and it's no secret that they're doing a "rub the Braves management's noses in it" routine, but the man's GONE!!! But back to your original question...if George just quits swapping and buying bodies - coaches included - and give them TIME to jell as a team, I think success will return!!!
