If all the toughest teams were in one division, they'd all be playing .500 ball. The NL East has had more different teams wear championship rings in the past few years than any other. Stats can be very misleading. Would you want Wade Boggs ( .360 )up for you in 9th with the bases loaded or would you rather have Reggie Jackson ( .250 ? ) or Joe Morgan ( .250 ? )? I wish they would have a statistic for "clutchness". The NL East plays the scrappiest baseball in the majors and when the bucks are down, they're usually up. Every year people say the AL East is the toughest because they usually have a few high percentage teams in it. Big deal. How many times in the past 5 years have they won the Big One? Get away from me with this AL East trash. Detroit is great but the NL East are winners!
