Let's get this straight (said he, with World Almanac in hand):

It wasn't 1950 or 1948, and it wasn't 113 wins or 110, and the team that
beat them in the series was not the Cards.

It was 111 wins in 1954, and the Series went to the Giants (in 4 games).

Of course I KNEW the answer without looking it up, but so did two other people.
