To set the record straight, it was the 1954 Indians which hold
the American League record for wins in a season when they were 
111-43 (154 game season).  That year, they lost the World Series
in 4 straight to the Giants.  The last time the Indians won the
World Series was in 1948.

Cleveland fans remember those dates and numbers because we are 
still waiting.
