I pulled out the ol` record book this weekend to finish
off the list of best teams, and also picked up the WORST
teams ever.  First, for the best record in a 162 game season:

N.L.: Cinn 108-54, .667 (rats, I forgot the year, must`ve been in 70s)
A.L.: Yankees `61 and Orioles `69  109-53, .673

Now for the WORST records of all time:

154 Game Season

N.L.: Cleveland Spiders, 1899, 20-134, .130
N.L.(after 1900): Boston Braves, 1935, 38-115, .248
A.L.:Phil A`s, 1916, 36-117, .235

162 Game Season

N.L.: N.Y. Mets, 1962, 40-120, .250
A.L.: Toronto Blue Jays, 1979, 53-109, .327
