This is why the runners are free to take any chances they may wish while the appeal is in process (during an appeal is the only time I know of in ASA softball that a runner can advance before the ball crosses the plate, anybody know of another case?). p.s. both runners score, batter gets a single, 2 RBI's. pat mcmonagle advanced systems group boulder
