Doing a Klingon-Federation war as an excuse for ST4 would drag Star Trek down to the level of Star Wars. This would be one of the few events that could possibly cause me to want nothing to do with Star Trek ever after. Star Trek has been about people and ideas, usually noble ones at that. I sincerely hope that Paramount does not decide to let some misguided producer get childish with Star Trek.
