This question has been gnawing at me for awhile, so I thought I'd
post it to the net for all the TV trivia fans to see if anyone has
the answer (I DON'T!).  Charles Haid (sp?) currently plays Renko
on Hill Street Blues.  Before that (early to mid 70's) he played
either a police detective or a private eye on a TV show where his 
partner was the lead guy from Taxi (I can't believe I'm blocking on this
guy's name, too.  Judd Hirsch, maybe).  The series ran somewhere around
the time that Petrucelli (starring Barry Newman) ran.  Anyway, with 
these few pointers, I'm hoping someone can tell me the name of the 
series.
