Lines: 27 Your problem is: : modified to save another day's LOGFILE If you replace this line with : "modified to save another day's LOGFILE" or # modified to save another day's LOGFILE it should work fine. The problem is that sh parses comment lines starting with a ":" (don't ask me why...) and waits for the closing "'".
