Kent University, England Lines: 13 Has anybody had any trouble with hot Ethernet transceivers?? We have just installed an Ethernet that runs along the windowsills of our building on the "hot side" (by our standards anyhow!). When we connect our PERQ's via 3COM boxes to the wire, and leave them on the window- ledges they sometimes work and sometimes dont! They seem to be getting very hot - is this the cause??? (replies by mail - will summarise) Lindsay F.
