I am planning the purchase of a VCR and would like the feedback of
some consumers on the systems which they have purchased. I am
interested in VHS format equipment priced in the $400-$600 range.
Questions I would like to have answered revolve around such things
as which features are worth the $$$, what effect increasing the #
of heads actually has on picture resolution, which expensive features
are rarely used, which ones you wish you had gotten when you bought
the equipment etc...

I would also appreciate any brand name recommendations as well as 
the name of some good dealerships in the Chicago/Naperville/Joliet
region. I am interested in good price and service after the sale.
