That "supposedly English accent" is the voice
of John Cleese of Monty Python  and Fawlty Towers
fame. Nothing fake about that British comedian's
voice. As for mis-pronouncing Greenwich, Connecticut
perhaps it's a subtle jibe at "us colonials"
