Somehow, the 10th anniversary show never quite lived up to
my hopes.  It felt like the Boston Pops playing a Stokowski
arraingement of a Bach sonata.  I.e., overdone.  "Let's
have a chorus, and some trumpets, and some more violins --
it's a birthday party, you know."

I really missed the relaxed funkiness of the PHC I know and loved:
didn't hear a peep from Red Maddox, for example.
