The SLAC unified graphics system has a couple of vector fonts;  these
include greek and some other symbols.  Nothing like italics or boldface
or anything really fancy, though.  I don't really know much about
typesetting, but I believe that real fonts don't scale exactly; you
might try Knuth's MetaFont.  More info on TeX and MetaFont can be
had from Tex User's Group, c/o American Mathematical Society,
P.O. Box 6248, Providence, RI  02940.  The SLAC system is available
from Robert C. Beach, Computation Research Group, Stanford Linear
Accelerator center, Stanford, CA, 94305.
