Wasser) To: info-mac@sumex-aim.ARPA Subject: Fried Macs The July/August 1984 issue of MACWORLD has an article saying that MACs are dying at a rate of about 2 percent although Apple is aiming at a rate of one percent (having only one percent of MACs have a hardware failure in their lives). One of the causes of the "extra" one percent failures may be that they shipped systems to Israel with 110volt power suplies when Israel is a 220 volt country! The death rate in that batch must have been close to 100 percent. -John A. Wasser (WASSER%VIKING.DEC@decwrl.ARPA)
