                      Abstract

   The TMS-320, a fast and attractive signal pro-
   cessing chip, now makes possible the construc-
   tion of an inexpensive general purpose  signal
   processor.  The chip has many special features
   designed for signal processing, but also  some
   limitations,  especially  visible in a general
   purpose framework. In particular, a  multipro-
   cessor  implementation using the FERMTOR P-Bus
   will be discussed.
