Olympics had a surplus of $150 million. This prompted me to wonder how much B.C. would end up in debt as a result of Expo 86. The reason for my pessimism is that the ruling Social Credit government seems to be more interested in creating monuments to themselves (e.g. the light rapid transit system currently under construction) than in running the province in an efficient manner. If you people back East don't know what Expo 86 is, then B.C. could be in even more trouble than I thought seeings how *you're* supposed to be more than willing to come out here and spend *us* out of the recession.
