U.C. San Diego Lines: 21 On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate a "very competent" VLSI designer on each of the following subjects: Logic & Computer design Physics of the Transistor Transistor circuits etc Please indicate how much of the above is taught in programs leading to Ph.D. in VLSI. I just graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering, and have had one full year of Basic Electronics in addition to 1 quarter of "Diodes, BJT and MOS transistor and Operational Amplifiers." Thus my EE knowledge in very limited. Though I have had many classes in computer software, and hardware. What other courses would I have to take? Thanks in advance, James Tobin
