The total system is to cost about $2500.00. The anticipated components are as follows: Receiver - Carver ($675) Speakers - Custom built by me ($900) Double Cassette Deck - ? ($300) Turntable and Cartridge - ? ($200) Compact Disk Player - Technics SL-P7 ($375) If anyone has recommendations or warnings about the above items, I would appreciate the feedback! By the way, the homebrew speakers are dual cabinet affairs. The bass cabinet is a five sided column housing a Dynaudio 12" woofer, the mid and tweeter are in a solid oak five sided pyramid (Morel 3" and 1"). The crossovers will probably be 6db per octave with Zobel networks on the woofer and mid. The small pyramids on top will harness pyramid power for silky highs, and will have a slot for sharpening razor blades! Eat your heart out Phil R. ! Steve Johnson
