Why are you so sure that someone is "picking on" Phil, let alone labeling
it "public ridicule" and I'll assume you meant "defamation of character".
Now, picking on the CJ box is quite another matter.

Look, Phil has been following this group long enough, and has traded enough
punches, that I think he at least knows where the groups stands.  I'm sure
that he knows damn well that offering a creme-de-la-creme goldenears item
for sale here is like pouring blood into a pool of sharks...but all he
wants to do is sell the thing, and he can probably do that with or without
the sarcasm (which I enjoyed, by the way).

If Phil is truly offended, I think he can speak up for himself.
