Some CD players use a single DAC, which is switched between the left and right channels. When the DAC is shared this way, the period for the DAC becomes 11.34 microsecond. This switching technique causes an inter-channel phase shift. As for Yamaha cd-x1, I don't know if it has the appropriate "compensation".
