I bought a copy of what must be the first issue of Digital Audio at the local Seven-eleven last week. I think I've already thrown it away. Yes it does contain a list of all of the CD's ever recorded. It also contains a bunch of horribly saccharin prose about digital audio. It reviews a bunch of machines, all favorably. It has articles about analog vs. digital (yawn). It also has a bunch of record reviews in the back; they seem to be reasonable (i.e. the taste of the reviewer is similar to mine in many cases). The record reviews comment on sound quality and give information about how each record was mastered. I guess that information is valuable, but it is certainly not worth, to me, the price of a subscription. Brian Reid Stanford
