Message-ID: <263@iwu1c.UUCP> Date: Fri, 7-Sep-84 00:12:04 EDT Article-I.D.: iwu1c.263 Posted: Fri Sep 7 00:12:04 1984 Date-Received: Sat, 1-Sep-84 14:49:30 EDT Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL Lines: 18 {} I've recently heard that leaded gas is being outlawed by the EPA, and will be unavailable sometime within the next 5 years. I have a 68 T-bird with a 429, that originally used to run on Premium gas (can't find it anymore). Using a mixture of Regular and Unleaded- Premium does sorta-ok, but not like it used to run. With the elimination of leaded gas altogether, will I have to convert the engine to run on unleaded gas, and what does this involve ? (Maybe I should just sell it if an engine conversion is next-to- impossible - anybody want a T-bird with suicide doors?) Please reply by mail since I don't read this group too often. Thanks in advance. John Kerns AT&T Bell Labs ihnp4!iwu1c!kerns
