Cough-sputter. O.k., it's dead, time for a new car. I'm wondering if anybody has any comments/experience with any of the following. Also, what comments do you have about buying cars from rental places? My father just got an '83 cougar from hertz for a little under 8k--about $300 under low bluebook, and it's great. The cars: Rabbit GTI (84) Mercury Cougar/Ford Thunderbird (83) Ford Tempo/Mercury Topaz (84) I thought an Escort might be nice (translation: cheap) but apparently I'm too tall to fit the $%#& thing. Any other suggestions? I'm expecting to spend $5-$8k thanx, rick -- rick (Rick Hawkins @ Olivetti ATC) [hplabs|zehntel|fortune|ios|tolerant|allegra|tymix]!oliveb!oliven!hawk
