Here is an exert from it (reproduced without permission, of course): "But in California -- where else? -- the rolling palaces of Ultra Limousine's Vini Bergeman have made him a name (and, he likes to add, a fortune). Three years ago, "as a joke," Bergeman stretched a plain old normal Cadillac into a 32-foot boat of a car, complete with its very own gun turret. "The world's largest limo," he was fond of calling it until -- horrors! -- rival Gino Dentie countered with a flaming red, 40-foot limousine. Not to be outdone by Bergeman's legendary limos installed with hot tubs, waterbeds and pool tables, Dentie equipped his 19-passenger roadster with a chauffeur, two bodyguards, three motorcycles and, as an optional feature, a 42-inch dwarf bartender. It was limousine wars, no question about it, and Bergeman struck back with a 50-foot monstrosity. Scheduled for completion this fall, the new gold megalimo will include, among other fantasy features, a sundeck that flips into a 15-foot swimming pool. The flamboyant Vini Bergeman said his car would also come with a dwarf to dive into the pool, and may also have a 150-gallon aquarium. "The fact is," Bergeman said, "I build the baddest limos around. End of subject. Period." Also the most expensive, and possibly the least drivable. Ultra Limo's gigantic, 10-wheel machine, which requires a special permit to be driven, will cost in excess of $800,000 -- three times the value Gino Dentie ascribes to his soon-to-be-mini 40-foot limo. How will Bergeman and company navigate their oversized baby, he was asked. "Carefully." I want one. Where do I sign up? :-) George Moore Tandy System Software uucp: {laidbak, sco, microsoft, sneaky, allegra!convex!ctvax}!trsvax!gm
