(that makes you VERY old) (-: ] Glad, you caught my crossed wires about upgrading "Jimmy" to a B-49. Actually, it was a B-47, of course. The B-35 and B-49 never made it out of the experi- mental stage before it got "killed in committee". RE: Anybody know if the Confederate Air Force has ... Yep. The answer is NO. CAF limits itself to WW-II birds. Hard-enough to pay the bills for those .... >From what I read here, there are 3 confirmed sightings of the bird: Dayton, Omaha, Forth Worth. Fort Worth being at 1.3 Warrior-hours is in easy range for me, and I just got confirmed that I can get a permit to land at the otherwise restricted airport. Anyone know who may be contacted in that group rumoured to be interested in restoring the bird? I understand that people are 'climbing all over it, which makes me wonder if it is a worthwhile sight. I'd sure like to see one with both prop and jet-engines in place - which may not be true for the one in Fort Worth. BTW, down here in Texas we get to see lots of CAF air-shows, must be the climate and geography - helps them last longer ... and crash softer ??? -------
