Message-ID: <1294@vax2.fluke.UUCP> Date: Thu, 30-Aug-84 11:26:37 EDT Article-I.D.: vax2.1294 Posted: Thu Aug 30 11:26:37 1984 Date-Received: Sat, 1-Sep-84 12:27:04 EDT Organization: John Fluke Mfg. Co., Everett, WA Lines: 18 Have any of you Californians seen a list of the victims names? I went to school in San Luis Obispo and am concerned about who might have died in the crash. Also, has anything been reported there which suggests the cause of the crash? Was the student pilot taking instrument lessons perhaps? I saw the type of aircraft Wings West was flying reported, but have forgotten it. What was the type of aircraft involved and how is the visibility from these aircraft? Reports I have read say that the Wings West plane was struck from above and lost its right rear stabalizer in the collision. Would anyone care to speculate whether a more experienced (or lucky) pilot could have brought the plane down reasonably intact (ie. some survivors)? Craig V. Johnson John Fluke Mfg.
