NBC and CBS had already turned to their regular broadcasts. Later that day i learned that the launc had been postponed from its scheduled 5:35 launch by 7 minutes. According to my calculations, the launch occured at 5:42 . From this i conclude that not one of the networks gave more than 2 minutes of air time to the flight once the engines started!
