Actually, I think the modern trend is that ANY alien who does something
gross to you (suck your brains out, lay eggs in your liver, etc.) is a major
threat.  Makes you miss the Kree;  all they did was land soldiers with ray
guns, and maybe take the freshest meat at the local Safeway.
