Lines: 42 (from Paul Simmington) I have two questions regarding old comics characters. The first concerns the flaming powers of Johnny Storm. While facing off against an opponent, he occasionally uses his "supernova blast". But I thought he couldn't use that level, because it would destroy the hemisphere. From my reading of the Fantastic Four, it seems unlikely that Johnny Storm would possess such raw power. There are many accounts of when he's used the nova-blast, but they all end up with him unconscious. Doesn't it seem likely that he would go into a coma or even die if he used a supernova blast? Second concerns the Human Juggernaut. It seems that the powers given him could easily defeat the X-men, but everytime he fights them he constantly loses. Why? I would have figured him to join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and then they could finally trash the X-men. But it seems that Marvel doesn't want the X-men to lose. And now for something completely indigenous. THE SECRET WARS SUCKS SPARROWS! In the beginning, they had a chance to really succeed, but they blew it. There are many situations which are inconsistant or just plain stupid. For instance... The appearance of the new Spiderwoman. An entire suburb of Denver??? The way the Absorbing Man was able to reattach his severed arm The """"""""death"""""""" of Wasp only to find out that she's not really dead at all Klaw is a strange character now, but when he fought Dazzler (~#9) he was ruthless. Why did Marvel screw up with the characters!!?? I would like to know if anyone has a good reason why Marvel is even pursuing this maxi-series any further. It is obvious that nothing will change and everyone will return to Earth. Is this Marvel's way to sneak Dr Doom back into comics? Paul Simmington Northeastern Univ. Boston MA 02116
