Ronnie was expressing the same frustration that every other Chief Executive since Roosevelt has felt about the USSR. They are almost as much a problem to us as we are to them. How many of you have never joked about taking the quickest route to being rid of your problem? Even if it (a) wouldn't work and (b) was unenable even if it would? /* ---------- */ I read that the head of France was in part of Russia and Brezhnev (sp?) pointed at a button and had him push it. He then remarked "you've just destroyed Paris". Everyone's entitled to such jokes, as long as they remain jokes. I only wish that such a blunder was the worst thing that Reagan had done. It's not.
