In fact, in one of his first speeches as president, Reagan said the Soviets would "tell any lie" or cheat or steal or whatever they needed to do to have their way. Reagan is an idiot; I think Mondale is a little smarter, but the way he's run his campaign so far I wonder. I'm tempted to write in Bill the Cat.
