Not really.  Seems to me that somebody got off the hook in Abscam (?) because
the FBI didn't leave him alone after the first "no" and kept badgering him
until he gave in.  The point here isn't whether or not this guy should have
been convicted, but that the FBI doesn't leave you alone after you refuse their
initial approach.
